Roger Williams Park Wedding
I had so much fun photographing this Roger Williams Park Wedding! It was the perfect day. I had met Allie and Rodrigo the prior November at their engagement session. The day of the e-session ended up a little less than perfect, as they lost power in their apartment. Imagine trying to get ready for a photoshoot with no hot water and no power! But they did, and we ended up taking some great photos. It’s always best to get the bad luck out of the way before the wedding.
Getting Ready
Fast forward to the wedding day and there was no bad luck to be found. Both the bride and groom got ready at the Courtyard Marriott in Warwick before heading over to Roger Williams Park for the wedding.
Roger Williams Park Gazebo Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place outside at the gazebo behind the Roger Williams Park Casino. It’s a lovely circular stone structure with columns that juts out into a lake. At first, the little kids walking down the aisle completely stole the show. But then the bride and her father made quite the entrance, walking down the long flight of stairs from the casino. A friend married them in what was a personal and funny wedding ceremony.
Wedding Photos at the Carousel
After greeting all of their guests, we hopped on a bus and headed over to the Roger Williams Park Carousel Village to get a few wedding photos on the carousel. Next, we headed across the street to a well-known and beautiful set of wrought iron stairs for some more wedding portraits.
Temple to Music Wedding Pictures
Our final stop in the park for photos was the Temple to Music, of course! It’s a unique and quintessential location within the park for professional wedding pictures. The sun was starting to set over the pond in the background as they walked up to the stone columns. They enjoyed a few moments to themselves cuddling on the steps before we headed over to the reception.
Roger Williams Casino Wedding Reception
The wedding reception took place in the beautiful Casino Ballroom. They were all smiles as they danced under the intricately painted ceiling. Then they enjoyed dinner at their head table, before going around to greet every single one of their guests. After dinner, Allie’s Donuts (a Rhode Island favorite) were served for dessert. The night ended with a massive sparkler sendoff outside the Casino!
