Colt State Park Wedding
I first met Allison and Casey over skype and then in person when I did their professional engagement photos. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them and their fun personalities and knew their Colt State Park Wedding in Providence, RI would be nothing short of epic.
Getting Ready at The Dean Hotel
The bride got ready for her Colt State Park Wedding with a group of friends at The Dean Hotel. It is a boutique hotel in downtown Providence, RI with cool urban decor. It was a nice change of pace from the hotels I’m usually doing professional wedding photography at.
First Look
Meanwhile, the groom had been getting ready across the hall, royal blue suit and all. They planned to meet and see each other prior to their Colt State Park Wedding in the hallway by a neon sign that read “Love Is”. The first look was emotional and funny, and so their personality.
Providence Wedding Photos
After the first look, we headed outside into the rain for some formal wedding photos. The exterior of the hotel provided for a bit of shelter while still getting the feel of being outside. We weren’t sure what awaited us over at Colt State Park so it was nice to at least get a few outside wedding photos!
Wedding Ceremony at Colt State Park
Then it was time to head over to the wedding ceremony at the Chapel by the Sea at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI. It rained throughout the wedding ceremony, and guests huddled under umbrellas. The bride and groom’s close friend delivered a touching and funny ceremony while family and friends looked on. In the end, the couple had no choice but to run through the rain to their waiting car.
Providence Wedding Photos
After the wedding ceremony at Chapel by the Sea at Colt State Park, we drove back to Providence for professional wedding photos. The reception was taking place at CAV restaurant so we decided to take some photos nearby. It had stopped raining for a bit, so we were able to take advantage of the industrial brick factory in the photos.
Providence Wedding Reception
Finally, it was time for the couple to join their family and friends inside CAV restaurant for their Providence wedding reception. The only way to describe the rest of the evening is “Fun”. Guests had a blast with big head cutouts, the couple danced under a sea of chandeliers, and they even laughed through their cake cutting. It was an amazing end to their Colt State Park Wedding.
