Belle Mer Summer Wedding with Pink Florals
Bridal Prep in the Island House at Belle Mer
We got the most beautiful late summer day for Charles and Victoria’s Belle Mer Newport wedding. My first stop was the Belle Mer Island house where the bride and her maids were getting their hair and makeup done. I was very drawn to her gorgeous dress that was hanging by a large window with boats going by outside. A quintessential Newport view! Just before the ceremony was to begin, we headed over to the bridal suite. There was beautiful light golden light streaming in the window which was perfect for a few bridal portraits.
Wedding Ceremony
Golden hour was just setting in as the bride and her dad walked down the aisle for the wedding ceremony. I loved watching the groom look so lovingly at his bride. The couple even exchanged sips of wine during the ceremony.
Newport Wedding Portraits
After they said “I do” I let them have a few minutes to themselves. It was so beautiful, with the setting sun and the Newport Bridge behind them. Then we took some quick portraits as the sunset was fading, ending with a night wedding photo of the couple in front of the Newport Bridge. I think the unrivaled view is one of the best parts of having your wedding at Belle Mer in Newport. There is also the amazing staff, and the modern decor. Belle Mer is definitely one of the best wedding venues in Newport, RI! Check out the rest of my Belle Mer Wedding Portfolio.
Wedding Reception at Belle Mer
Then it was time for us to head inside for the reception. The father of the bride was so emotional and hilarious. I noticed even the bride was amazed at his dancing during their father daughter dance. After dinner there was a raucous dance party. The groom even stripped down in a performance of Mr. Roboto. I got the sense he had done this many times before. What a fun night for an equally fun couple!
