Harkness Park Wedding
I’m very excited to share photos from this elopement with wedding photos at Harkness Park. If you’ve never been, Harkness Park in Waterford, CT is just a gorgeous location that never disappoints (check out the last wedding I photographed at Eolia Mansion!). Not even in the pouring rain…
Inn at Harbor Hill Marina
Before heading over to Eolia Mansion for the wedding and photos, the couple got ready together for their elopement at the Inn at Harbor HIll Marina in Niantic, CT. You might remember Jessie and Mason from their epic engagement session. At the time of the engagement session, they were still unsure of where/when/how they wanted to get married, but they were sure it wouldn’t be very traditional. So I wasn’t surprised when they contacted me about photographing their elopement on “Twosday” aka 2/22/22.
The couple got ready in a beautiful hotel room with help from the bride’s mother and sister. They exchanged gifts and read vows, and then we headed to Eolia Mansion at Harkness Park for the wedding ceremony.
Eolia Mansion Elopement
The rain was supposed to hold off longer, but it started pouring almost as soon as we arrived at Harkness Park for the wedding. Luckily the couple brought clear umbrellas so we were still able to take wedding photos around Eolia Mansion.
The actual wedding ceremony was short and sweet and took place in the covered pergola in the Italian garden at Harkness Park. The bride and groom sealed their union by pouring local sand into a custom hourglass, and also with a kiss and a high-five!

The family stayed dry by taking photos under the covered part of the pergola. Then the couple and I ventured out into the rain to take photos around the grounds. We went to the wedding chapel area, boardwalk, and down to the beach. It was such a beautiful, relaxing and intimate wedding!
