The Sagamore Lake George Wedding
I LOVE working as a professional wedding photographer at The Sagamore on Lake Goerge. I say this even though it is four hours away from me. It’s so beautiful there! My in-laws live nearby so I have a free place to stay AND a babysitter. So of course I was thrilled to be hired by Annie and Kevin to photograph their Lake George wedding!
Late Fall Sagamore Resort Wedding
October came and went, and it was finally time for this Sagamore Lake George Wedding! The couple had planned a full weekend of outdoor activities. So of course, Mother Nature sent a rainstorm our way. I wasn’t sure what kind of mood the bride would be in when I arrived at her lodge suite. However, I wasn’t surprised to find her in an excited and cheerful mood. That’s just the type of person she is! I was, however, surprised to find Amanda Pierce doing makeup. I’ve worked with her before and her work is just incredible.
Groom Getting Ready at The Sagamore Lake George
Meanwhile, over in the Sagamore Resort building the groom was being photographed by Ashley. They were able to get some photos done underneath the portico despite the rain.
First Look
When it came time for the wedding’s first look, it was raining just a little, so we set Kevin up under a covered area by the side of The Sagamore. This was actually the first time I had a chance to meet the groom, but I instantly liked him seeing how he treated his bride!
Sagamore Wedding Photos
After the first look, we used the covered walkway area out to the parking lot for photos. Then miraculously it stopped raining, so we ran up to the upper balcony in The Sagamore Resort for the rest of the formal wedding photos. It has a stunning view over Lake George and the fall foliage that was still hanging around. The couple was understandably excited about the change in weather. I was excited as these are the quintessential Sagamore Lake George wedding photos!
Wedding Ceremony in Bolton Landing
After formals, they were married in a catholic ceremony (by a priest from her alma mater Siena College) at The Blessed Sacrament church in Bolton Landing, NY. We had a bit of a wind-blown confetti exit and then the bridal party hopped on the trolley. We took a joyride back to The Sagamore for the wedding reception.
Wedding Reception
Back at the hotel, we enjoyed a cold but gorgeous sunset before moving into the tented ballroom where the New York Players band helped everyone dance the night away!
