Providence Engagement Photos
It was late November when we did Grace and Tristan’s Providence engagement photos. It was kinda cold and kinda rainy. There definitely weren’t any leaves left on the trees. And you know what….it was awesome! When we were going through the different locations in downtown Providence for engagement photos, I suggested several urban locations with architectural backgrounds that tend to work well at any time of year. Grace made the very smart decision to start at Memorial Park in Providence, and just wait until you see where we ended the session….
Memorial Park Providence Engagement Photos
It was drizzling when we started, so the covered portico area in front of the Providence Superior Court was the perfect starting point for these RI engagement photos. Then we walked across the street and did some photos in Memorial Park with downtown Providence in the background. It only took about 2 minutes for Grace and Tristan to warm up to having their photo taken. Although Tristan works in sports communications at Bryant University, I get the sense that he is used to being in the spotlight. Side note – Grace works for my alma mater Providence College!
Old Stone Bank in Downtown Providence
Grace and Tristan are such a fun couple. They were joking around and having a blast with each other the entire session. I always tell my couples that an engagement session is just an excuse to go out on a date with each other (minus the 3rd wheel photographer following them around the whole time).
Next, we headed down to the Providence River Greenway for some photos. On the way back, the Old Stone Bank provided the quintessential backdrop for Providence RI engagement photos.
Benefit Street
Time for a change of scenery, we headed up to Benefit Street to look for an ivy-covered wall I had spotted earlier. By then we were starting to lose the light, and Tristan suggested we hop in our cars and head over to a place that holds special meaning in their relationship. Our last stop on this Providence RI engagement photo session was….
Waterfront Providence Engagement Photos
Yup, that’s Hot Club! Grace recounted how she had gone to a party at Tristan’s house with mutual friends, and they later ended up at Hot Club. Tristan pointed out that Grace had given her digits to another guy that night. Well, something must have gone right, because I’m photographing this fun couple’s wedding next July at Mt. Hope Farm in Bristol, RI. CAN NOT WAIT!
