Bride Getting Ready in Shelton, CT

Mirinie and Andy’s Harkness Park CT wedding started in their hometown of Shelton, CT. The bride got ready in her awesome loft style apartment. It had brick and natural light. I was a happy wedding photographer! She was surrounded by family and four adorable flower girls as she got ready.

Meanwhile the groom got ready at his mother’s house nearby. Finally it was time to head to the church for the ceremony.

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Church in Shelton, Connecticut. It was an intimate and beautiful ceremony. Afterwards the couple greeted their guests outside before heading to Harkness Park for the wedding reception.

Upon arriving at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, CT we started with formal wedding photos. There are so many great locations for photos there. We started in the formal gardens next to Eolia Mansion. Then we ventured over to the cuttings garden with just the couple. It was a stunning sea of Dahlia flowers and the perfect backdrop for wedding photos!

Bridal Party Photos at Harkness Memorial Park

We took bridal party photos in the other formal garden and on the expansive lawn at Harkness Memorial Park. It really is one of the most beautiful spots in CT for a wedding. Then it was time for the cocktail hour on the back patio of Eolia Mansion. A group ConnectiKiters was flying their kites out on the great lawn which provided a fun backdrop!

After cocktail hour, it was time for the bride and groom to be announced to their Harkness Park CT wedding reception. There were fun dances, hilarious speeches and then the guests sat down to dinner inside Eolia Mansion. After dinner, it was a fun night of dancing out under the tent.
