It was a beautiful day for Erin and Brian’s Bristol Rhode Island wedding!
Getting Ready in Bristol, Rhode Island
The bride and a bunch of friends got ready for the wedding at her parents house in Bristol, Rhode Island. It was a very laid back atmosphere. A friend did her makeup. Her mom helped her into her dress. And then she helped her dad putting on his boutonniere. Does anyone actually know how to put those things on?! Her dress has an amazing back lace detail that NEEDED to be captured in photos.
Wedding Ceremony at Colt State Park
Then it was time for their intimate wedding ceremony at the Chapel by the Sea in Colt State Park. The couple chose not to do a first look, so Brian saw his bride for the first time as she emerged from the parking lot. He was clearly smitten. They both were. The Chapel by the Sea is at the top of a large lawn stretching to the sea. However it’s enclosed by mature trees so it feels very private and intimate. It’s one of my favorite places for a wedding ceremony in Bristol, Rhode Island. It also makes a great spot for photos too!
Wedding Photos in Bristol, RI
We did some wedding photos in the grove of trees by the chapel. Then we drove over to another spot in Colt State Park. The stone bridge along the East Bay Bike Path. It’s always a little harrowing walking out to the bridge with bikers whizzing past. It’s worth it though!
It was very important to Erin to take photos with her grandmother. When she found out her grandmother would be unable to attend the wedding, she decided to go to her. We stopped by her grandmothers nursing home in Bristol, Rhode Island for a visit and some wedding photos. It was so touching to see grandma and her love for her grandchildren!
Wedding Reception at Bristol Yacht Club
The rest of the evening was spent eating, chatting, and dancing under the tent at the Bristol Yacht Club wedding reception. There were no real formalities, so guests just enjoyed themselves. The brides nieces and nephews especially enjoyed dancing, running around and playing soccer. There was a beautiful sunset after dinner that prompted some bridal portraits down on the docks. What a beautiful way to end this Bristol Rhode Island wedding!
