Rhode Island Maternity Photos
I did this gorgeous Rhode Island maternity photo session a couple of weeks ago in Westerly. The couple is expecting a baby girl in September and Watch Hill is their go-to beach location. We made a plan to meet up and take the photos on East Beach, a perfect location for maternity and family photos.
East Beach Access Path
We planned to start the maternity session on the beach access path between the Ocean House and Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island summer home. As I was walking up from town, the gates to her driveway opened and she drove right out! Afterward, several people came up to me and asked if I was going to wait until she came back to take more photos. Sometimes I feel like a paparazzi but I prefer taking photos of people who WANT their photo taken!
After that commotion, it was nice to wander down the beach path covered in beach roses and take some photos along the way.
Ocean House RI Maternity Photos
Once we made it down to the beach, we walked over to a secluded spot with the Ocean House in the background. It’s such a beautiful backdrop for photos, especially in the golden evening light.
Rhode Island Beach Maternity Photos
Then we walked the beach a bit and took some photos with the Watch Hill Lighthouse in the background. By this point, the sun was going down behind the trees, and soft light was illuminating the beach grasses. It was the perfect ambiance for beach maternity photos!
Watch Hill Maternity Photos
By this time we had already taken so many beautiful maternity photos, we decided to walk back to our cars in downtown Watch Hill. Along the way, we stopped to take a few pics at a rose-lined drive. By the time we reached the cove, the sky was turning beautiful colors. We ended this Rhode Island maternity session on the sea wall with some beautiful boats in the background.
