Arnold Arboretum Engagement Session

I can’t get over how perfect this Arnold Arboretum Engagement Session in Boston, MA was! Of course I kind of knew it would be going in. Ali and Devon found me through their friends Courtney and Bobby. They got married at The Bohlin in Newport a few years ago and were a joy to work with.

Arnold Arboretum Forest Hills Gate

The day of the session, the weather turned out absolutely perfect. I meet the couple at the Forest Hills Gate to start their Arnold Arboretum Engagement Session. We got the awkward first photos out of the way in front of some beautiful yellow trees right near the gate. Although, they weren’t awkward at all and I love a lot of these first photos!

With that out of the way, we walked deeper into the park along Bussey Hill Rd. I had to stop to check my trusty map a few times. Why do I always get lost at Arnold Arboretum Engagement Sessions?! Oh well, we found this lovely spot with a bench for a quick photo stop.

Arnold Arboretum Vine Garden Engagement Session

We followed the map, and made it to the Vine Garden without too much trouble. I love any type of vine growing up any type of structure, so I was like a kid in a candy store here! My lovely clients probably thought I was crazy. We’d start a conversation and then I would interrupt with a squeal and direct them to another gorgeous spot I saw out of the corner of my eye.

We especially loved the stone wall towards the back of the vine garden, although there is no shortage of gorgeous photo locations at Arnold Arboretum for engagement photos!

On the way out of the vine garden we spotted a gorgeous Japanese Maple with sunlight streaming through it’s golden foliage and of course had to make another stop.

Arnold Arboretum Linden Path Engagement Session

To finish this Arnold Arboretum Engagement Session we walked down the Linden Path to circle back to our cars. By this time it was getting close to sunset, and the light was just heavenly in a grove of Linden Trees. A great ending to the session.

I am so looking forward to Ali and Devon’s wedding at Belle Mer in Newport next year!
